Media Social Marketing - I Am Legend

I Am Legend, a film released on 14th December 2007, does not have a lot of social media marketing, which may be because of how the film was released in a year where there wasn’t a lot of social media. With this in mind, the only use of social media which was found was on Facebook, a worldwide use of social media in which many people are able to connect with different things that they are interested in as well as connecting with people/ TV/ Bands or in this case film. As seen on this screenshot of the Facebook page, it is the official page, therefore it has full authority to post any connection to the film, this being the main actor playing the main protagonist (Will Smith). There is information about the film on the side of the Facebook page, as well as photos and how many people have liked the page, this being over 8 million. As this film uses an A-list actor, Will Smith, there would be a lot more followers which may up the amount of people who have liked the Facebook page, which therefore gives more publicity to not only to the actor and the other films they starred in, but also to this specific film, as other people who maybe interested in this genre may find out about him and it would give more publicity to the actor as a whole.
